Iron bed questions, answered

How long until my bed ships?

Every bed is made to order in your size and finish, and is estimated to ship in 3–6 weeks. Within one business day of your order, we email you an estimated ship date. When your bed reaches your area, the carrier calls to schedule a delivery appointment.

How does delivery work?

Shipping is free with furniture-specialty carriers, who deliver to the front entrance at ground level, Monday to Friday during business hours. The carrier calls to schedule an appointment first, and someone needs to be there to inspect the packages and sign for them. In-home delivery and set-up are available for an extra charge.

We ship to the 48 contiguous states, and to Canada for an added fee. Details are in our Shipping Policy.

Do I need a box spring?

It depends on the frame you choose. A frame for box spring takes a regular-size box spring. A platform frame, offered on many beds, has wood slats, so no box spring is needed. This bed's options and features list show which frames it comes with.

Will it work with an adjustable base?

On many of our beds, yes: the box spring frame fits an adjustable bed. Look for “Adjustable” in this bed's options or features list. Not sure? Send us a message.

How accurate are the finish colors on screen?

Our iron finishes are hand-applied powder coat, so slight variation from bed to bed is natural, and computer screens, printers and display settings can distort color. If you're deciding between two finishes, send us a message before you order.

What does the warranty cover?

Our beds carry a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. For as long as you own the bed, defects in material and workmanship under normal household use are repaired or replaced at no charge, at our option. Shipping to and from the repair location is paid by the purchaser, and slight variation in the hand-applied finish isn't considered a defect. Read the full Lifetime Warranty.
