Shipping policy

Our Free Shipping is with furniture specialty carriers specializing in large, quality furniture and residential home delivery. Your order will be packaged and shipped directly from the factory upon completion. Once it arrives in your local area an appointment person will call to schedule a time for delivery. All prices include Free Entryway Delivery to the front entrance of the ground level.

When buying furniture, shipping is a very important consideration. Not all shipping methods are alike and quality furniture should be shipped with quality shippers. Sadly, the free shipping offered by most online retailers is curbside, also known as back-of-truck delivery primarily used for commercial shipments, resulting in missed deliveries, frequent damage and customers have to unload the order from the street. We believe customers should not be responsible to unload their orders from the back of a truck. We are committed to high-quality furniture, and hold the same principle with our shipping service. Regarding shipping, we prioritizing reliable service and special care to deliver your furniture on-time and damage-free.

All prices include Free Entryway Delivery to the front entrance at ground level, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Weekend, after hours and holiday delivery appointments may be available at an additional cost. Please contact us regarding these options. We also provide in-home delivery & set-up service for an extra charge.

Order will be processed within one business day after ordering, at which time we will email you an estimated ship date based on current production times at the factory. Once your order is built and packaged at the factory, we will arrange shipping and email tracking info. You may track your order to your local area, although it’s not necessary as once it arrives in your local area an appointment person from the carrier will call to schedule a time for delivery.

Our carriers will not attempt delivery without first contacting you to schedule a delivery appointment. We require that someone be at the delivery address to inspect the packages, note carton damage and sign to accept delivery. Small items such as side rail bed frames and parts may ship with UPS, FedEx or USPO.

Matriae utilizes professional carriers that do their very best to deliver within the scheduled delivery window. Weather, mechanical issues and other unforeseen circumstances may delay delivery past the appointment window, although this is rare. If your delivery has not arrived within 30 minutes of the end of your delivery appointment window, please call the carrier to get an update.

Matriae ships to the 48 contiguous United States, and for an additional $124 shipping fee per set we will ship to Canada, which includes shipping, duties, and taxes. At this time Matriae does not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico, P.O Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. Special quotes will be required for remote areas in the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland, and Northern Regions in British Columbia (V0C, V0J, V0T), Ontario (P0L, P0T-P0V), and Quebec (G0B, J0Y, J0M).

If your delivery address has access restrictions requiring a delivery vehicle smaller than a box truck or typical furniture delivery truck, you are required to notify Matriae prior to ordering to obtain a quote for the additional cost of a specialty vehicle or equipment. Customers who fail to notify Matriae of access restrictions prior to ordering are responsible for the additional cost of a specialty vehicle or equipment.

International Shipping

Customers wanting an order shipped to outside of the contiguous US or Canada may arrange service with a freight forwarding company in the mainland United States, and Matriae will ship to your freight forwarder of choice. Freight Forwarding companies are frequently used for international shipments, however, upon delivery to the forwarding company, Matriae will no longer be liable for any damage or loss resulting from the journey from their facility to the final destination, and all claims for monetary compensation or replacement parts should be filed with your freight forwarding company.
